Hey there! I'm Chun, and I'm really glad you're here. Reaching out for therapy — whether for yourself, your child, or your relationship — takes courage, especially in cultures where mental health still carries stigma. Whatever brought you to this page, I want you to know it matters, and you don't have to do this alone.
I believe real change happens when insight moves from the head into the body, where our emotions, memories, and inner wisdom actually live. My style is warm, relational, and depth-oriented — I won't rush you toward quick fixes. I'll help you slow down, listen to yourself, and reconnect with the parts of you that everyday life often silences.
Working with tweens and teens: I love working with young people. Adolescence is a time when so much is shifting — identity, friendships, family, body, future — and it can feel overwhelming to carry all of it. I offer teens a space where they don't have to perform, explain, or be "fine." I also bring my own experience as an immigrant mother of three children to this work — I understand how confusing it can be for parents to support a child growing up between cultures, between generations, and inside a fast-paced, highly competitive world. I often work with families together to rebuild communication, repair conflict, and help everyone feel heard.
Working with couples: I help couples move past the surface conflict and reach the emotions underneath. My approach is integrative — weaving together Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy , attachment-based work, and somatic awareness, shaped to fit the unique needs of your relationship. Whether you're navigating a major rupture, drifting apart, parenting stress, cross-cultural differences, or simply wanting to feel close again, I'll help you slow down enough to actually hear each other. My goal isn't to take sides — it's to help your relationship become a place you both want to come home to.
Working with individuals: I also work with adults healing from complex trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, and existential questions about meaning and direction. My approach is integrative — weaving together CBT, psychodynamic, EMDR, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and parts work, based on what each person actually needs. No single method fits everyone, and I believe healing works best when you get to lead the way.
My path to this work
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in Silicon Valley tech — first working as a software engineer, then in startups and management. Today, I still work part-time in tech, and I genuinely enjoy how it balances the helping professions — each side gives me something the other doesn't.
I know firsthand the realities of career transitions, workplace dynamics, and the quiet exhaustion behind high-pressure careers — including the lonely side of looking successful from the outside, and how it quietly shows up in our families and relationships. I also know, from building a career and a life in a second language, what it's like to navigate two worlds at once — the code-switching, the not-quite-belonging-anywhere feeling, and the parts of yourself that get lost or reshaped in translation. That same tension shows up in family life too — raising children, relating to parents, figuring out how much of our culture to hold onto and how much to let go, or juggling different expectations of closeness, duty, and belonging all at once.
I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, along with bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University and San Jose State University. I offer sessions in both English and Mandarin Chinese. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, and spending time in nature.
If you're ready to talk, I'm here.
